NEW! George Washington Comes to Dinner at Carlyle House
Description: A living history tour of the Carlyle House centering on Washington’s visit to the house in 1760 for dinner after church. Stop and talk to John Carlyle and George Washington in the study and servants and slaves setting up for dinner in the dining room, along with others.

“Walking With Washington” tours
Description: Walking tours of Alexandria sites associated with George Washington.
Dates: Every February Sunday! February 3, 10, 17, & 24; 2008. Time: 1:30 p.m.

George Washington Classic 10-K Race (and 2-K Fun Run)
Location Certified course through Eisenhower Valley and Alexandria’s parklands. Prizes, t- shirts & refreshments. The first race of the season! Benefits Alexandria Police Youth Camp. Pre-race packet pick-up is available.

Birthnight Banquet & Ball
Description: You will be part of a reenactment of the ball held In George Washington's honor at Gadsby's in 1797! Colonial attire is not required! 18th-century dancing lessions are available prior to the Ball (additional fee).

Revolutionary War Reenactment at Fort Ward Park
Description: Historic camp and tactical demonstrations throughout the day including a Revolutionary War skirmish between the Redcoats and the Colonial Army.

Worship at Historic Christ Church (Episcopal)
Description: Washington was a member of this church. We honor the first President during services by reading the prayer he composed, laying a wreath in his memory, and displaying the Washington Family Bible.
